Summary

Open-DAW is an open-source, online Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) currently in development. It aims to provide a high-quality web-based music production app similar to desktop DAWs, making music creation accessible without costly investments.

Motivation and Goals

The project was initiated due to the lack of a "good" online DAW. Inspired by well-designed web applications like Figma, the developer intends to create a web app that feels as powerful and user-friendly as a desktop application.

Another key goal is to support beginners and musicians who do not want to invest heavily at the start of their music production journey.

Furthermore, the project seeks to push music production into the JavaScript/web development scene.

Current Status and Needs
