RC-20 Retro Color is a creative effect plugin by XLN Audio that adds life and texture to recordings by emulating the warm feel of vintage recording equipment. It works well in modern productions and offers six distinct effect modules that can be combined or used individually.

• Noise Generator: Adds various types of noise such as vinyl crackle, tape hiss, studio ambience, electric hum, and static noise.
• Wobble & Flutter: Simulates pitch instability typical of analog playback devices like vinyl players and tape machines.
• Saturation & Distortion: Offers a range from subtle saturation to heavy distortion effects.
• Degrader & Bitcrusher: Recreates vintage digital artifacts such as reduced sample and bit rates reminiscent of older samplers.
• Reverb: Adds depth and spatial width to tracks with a specially designed reverb module.
• Volume Drops: Emulates volume loss and degradation effects associated with tape recording and playback.
• Single slider for scaling effect modules and controls to dial in desired effect amount or create transitions like intros and dropouts.
• Preset library optimized for drums, keys, guitar, bass, full mixes, and post-production work.
