Realistic solo strings library providing expressive violins, viola, and cello samples for Kontakt and Kontakt Player

Summary

Cinematic Studio Solo Strings is a detailed and expressive solo string instrument library for Kontakt and Kontakt Player. It offers solo violins, viola, and cello samples recorded with authentic techniques to provide realistic, emotive string sounds suitable as a standalone quartet or to complement full string sections.

Main Features

  • Highly realistic solo strings including violins 1 and 2, viola, and cello.
  • Recorded over 120 hours with Australia's finest string players in a world-class scoring stage.
  • Intuitive and streamlined graphical user interface similar to Cinematic Studio Strings.
  • Comprehensive articulation set including legato, portamentos, staccatos, pizzicato, trills, tremolos, col legno, marcato, and con sordino.
  • Designed for use as first-chair solo instruments alongside the Cinematic Studio Strings library or as a vibrant standalone string quartet.
  • Samples manually tuned by ear for natural realism and balanced playability.
  • Includes a delay system for legato notes to maximize realism, requiring ahead-of-beat playing for best results.
  • Compatible with the free Kontakt Player and supports NKS keyboards.

Usage and Compatibility

The library runs inside Kontakt 5.6.8 or higher (full or free version). It is intended for users familiar with MIDI sequencing and Kontakt operation. It is not designed for direct integration with notation software and requires a MIDI keyboard controller with mod wheel for optimal use.

Distribution and Support

Available as a download-only product with the use of an advanced download manager. Installation instructions are provided via email at purchase. Technical support is limited to library-specific issues and does not extend to teaching MIDI, DAW operation, or Kontakt usage.
