Overview

Vintage CASIO Legacy is a collection of six classic CASIO digital instruments sampled in depth to faithfully capture their original character and behavior. It includes a unified Multi groove engine that integrates these instruments into a modern, flexible production and performance tool.

Included Instruments and Synthesis Methods

• CZ Series: Phase Distortion synthesis offering expressive sounds ranging from digital leads to evolving pads, closely sampled with and without the original analog chorus effect.
• FZ-1: A 16-bit sampler known for its warm digital sound and distinctive sampler coloring, modeled here with broad sampling to provide realistic vintage tones and classic sampler character.
• VZ Series: Featuring Interactive Phase Distortion synthesis enabling complex and harmonically rich textures, deeply sampled for modern sound design flexibility.
• HZ-600: Uses Spectrum Dynamic synthesis blending preset spectral snapshots, sampled with selectable real-hardware chorus states to recreate a wide tonal palette.
• CTK-1000: A lesser known instrument with charming digital textures, extensively sampled to reveal unique tonalities rarely found in vintage synth collections.
• RZ-1: CASIO's first sampling drum machine, modeled for quick kit building and sequencing with the raw, punchy sound that defined many electronic music tracks.

Multi Mode

The Multi module combines the RZ drum engine with up to four synth slots chosen from any included instrument, each with arpeggiators and performance controls. It features per-instrument effects plus a shared bus effects section including configurable delays and reverbs for complex layered grooves and real-time arrangements.

System Requirements

• UVI Workstation version 4.0.4 or later, or Falcon version 26.0.3 or later.
• Supported OS: macOS 10.14 to macOS 26 and Windows 10 to 11 (64-bit).
• Disk space approx. 35 GB, 4 GB RAM minimum, preferably SSD drive.

Licensing and Activation

License allows three activations on any combination of machines or via iLok account (dongle not required). Internet connection required for activation.
