Summary

EP-1 is an electric piano sound engine originally developed for KORG's flagship KRONOS workstation, now available as a software plugin for Mac and PC. Technology Details

The MDS sound engine separates pitch and noise components of the instrument (such as hammer and key release noises) and re-synthesizes them independently. This allows extremely natural real-time interaction between player input and sound output, creating seamless transitions, realistic decay, and detailed performance nuances.
